TED x MSU talk

Dr. Cecilia Martinez presented a TED x talk named The BIG Potential of SMALL Organisms.

Part of her research aims to develop technology that can solve environmental and technological challenges by using microbes. Our technological devices are an essential part of our lives and technology advances at an incredible rate; this has led to challenges such as keeping up with production and appropriately disposing of these technologies. Using methylotrophs we have found ways to extract these metals for both production and recycling of electronic waste.
